Early this Saturday morning, a tragic collision between two cross-border coaches near the tollgate plaza in Beitbridge has resulted in a potential loss of seven lives, with an undisclosed number of individuals sustaining injuries.

Reports indicate that the incident took place at approximately 3 am, involving a City Bus coach traveling from Johannesburg to Harare and a Blue Circle bus on its route from Karoi to the border town.

Unnamed sources have disclosed that six individuals lost their lives instantly, with another succumbing to injuries upon arrival at the hospital. The exact cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.

Emergency services, including the fire brigade and ambulance teams, promptly responded to the scene, successfully rescuing and transporting the injured to Beitbridge District Hospital for urgent medical attention.
