He emphasizes the legitimacy crisis arising from the disputed elections of August 23, 2023, citing numerous irregularities, voter suppression, and the absence of credible election observer reports. Chamisa rejects the legitimacy of the current government and accuses them of consolidating authoritarianism through illegal methods and the weakening of the opposition.

Chamisa discusses the consequences of the contested election, pointing to economic and social collapse, increased authoritarianism, and persecution of political opponents. He accuses the incumbent government of undermining democracy, suppressing citizens’ voices, and attempting to control the opposition.

In response to these challenges, Chamisa proposes a way forward that includes comprehensive political, electoral, and constitutional reforms to ensure legitimacy and majority rule. He expresses dissatisfaction with the current state of the opposition, particularly the Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC), which he claims has been compromised and taken over by the ruling party. Chamisa announces his disassociation from CCC, calling for a new, credible leadership that prioritizes serving the citizens and upholding democratic principles.

Chamisa concludes by urging citizens to rally behind fresh and genuine leaders, expressing his commitment to public service and asserting his focus on Zimbabwe’s future, emphasizing the need for tenacity and resilience in the face of challenges.
