Black Coffee Bounces Back from Injuries Following a Harrowing Travel Incident in Argentina

South African music producer and DJ Black Coffee has been hospitalized following a “severe travel incident” during his journey to Mar Del Plata in Argentina for a scheduled performance, according to a statement released by his management on Wednesday.

The statement did not specify the date of the incident.

“The incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with some injuries. We can confirm that he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by a supportive family and team,” it added.

The Argentina safety board is currently investigating an event on January 6, involving a Flybondi Boeing 737-800 on flight FO-5720 from Buenos Aires to Mar del Plata. The aircraft experienced a hard landing at Mar del Plata at approximately 10:28 PM, with the plane’s tail making contact with the ground, resulting in a tail strike, as per aviation terminology.

“The aircraft rolled out without further incident. There were no reported injuries, but the aircraft sustained substantial damage,” an initial report of the incident said.

Argentina’s safety board, the JST, has categorized the hard landing as an “accident,” and an official investigation is in progress.

Black Coffee, a Grammy award winner, stands as South Africa’s leading music figure, boasting a busy international performance schedule across various continents.
