Felisha ‘Fifi’ Muzeya’s former partner, Amir Mhaka (19), has been brought before the court on charges of distributing intimate images without consent, following the circulation of Fifi’s nude photos on social media last week.

Fifi (18) is the daughter of local social figure Felistas Murata, also known as Mai Titi.

Mhaka (19) was granted bail of US$50 by Harare magistrate Caroline Matanga during his brief appearance. He is scheduled to return to court on May 15 for further proceedings.

According to the State, Fifi and Mhaka began an online relationship in 2020, which later transitioned into a physical relationship until their separation in 2022.

“Throughout their relationship, the accused requested and received intimate images from the complainant,” the court was informed.

Allegedly, Fifi sent these photos on multiple occasions. After their breakup, Mhaka purportedly began threatening Fifi with exposure of the photos if she ended their relationship.

Feeling coerced, Fifi maintained a friendship with Mhaka out of fear of public exposure.

The situation escalated when Fifi entered a new relationship in March of the following year, leading Mhaka to send derogatory information about her to her new partner.

On April 9 of this year, Fifi discovered her intimate photos circulating on social media, reportedly sent only to Mhaka during their relationship.

The matter was reported to the authorities, resulting in Mhaka’s arrest. The State asserts that Mhaka’s actions caused significant distress and embarrassment to Fifi.
