The relatives of the late former president Robert Mugabe organized a private event on Saturday to honor his birthday in Zvimba.

Mugabe, born on February 21, 1924, would have reached the milestone of 100 years this year.

Jealous Mawarire, Mugabe’s former spokesperson and relative, verified that the commemoration took place at Kutama Village in Zvimba, Mugabe’s birthplace. Among the notable attendees was Wonder Nyakurima, Mugabe’s longtime trusted security aide.
