Namibia mourns the passing of its esteemed leader, Hage Geingob, who breathed his last at the age of 82. The announcement comes shortly after the disclosure of his upcoming cancer treatment less than three weeks ago.
On Sunday, Geingob bid farewell at Lady Pohamba Hospital in Windhoek, surrounded by his family. Acting president Nangolo Mbumba conveyed the solemn news in a statement shared on Geingob’s official Facebook page.

Born on August 3, 1942, in Otavi, Namibia, he embarked on a remarkable journey that saw him become a leading force in the country’s political landscape.
